This zine is a brief introduction to the massive entity that encompasses the prison-industrial complex, its historical legacy, and its modern manifestations inside of and beyond prison walls. Much of the information compiled in this zine was crowd-sourced by various members of Students Against the Prison-Industrial Complex, SAPIC. This zine and our continuous self-education around these issues is a communal effort. We must also acknowledge that this zine is missing the voices of currently and previously incarcerated people. The PIC and its mechanisms of oppression are much more extensive, however, than the contents of the mini-booklet.
