For Black Women

Black women are magic. From the ends of our hair to the soles of our feet, we are the embodiments of divine. I believe in no higher power except that of Black women. We are born of fight and wonder and beauty and resilience and magic.

But we are also human.

The whole world seeks to continually beat us down  and it takes a toll on our magic. Our beauty is not appreciated until it is pasted on other people like a cheap copy that can never truly be what it mimics. Everyone wants to be us, beat us, or both. To be Black and woman in this world is to be underappreciated, disrespected, misunderstood.

And still keep slaying.

So for every Black woman who walks this earth, I am your biggest fan. Even when you don’t feel like it, you are divine. I am that person who fangirls every time you walk by. When the world is against you, I am for you. I will stan for you. I will fight for you.

When you need affirmations  of your glory, here are some reminders that you are magic.
